Customer Sessions: MetLife, Coca-Cola, Colgate & Bank of America at IOD

To handle global expansion and hone our competitive edge, we create time for DBAs with performance, availability, cost reduction and expense-avoidance tools. This presentation shares the IBM DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows footprint. Easy-to-follow examples illustrate how IBM InfoSphere Optim Performance Manager has replaced home-grown performance data collection script and analysis techniques. The taming of Self-Tuning Memory Management (STMM) is drawn, showing STMM to be a trustworthy facility with specific advantages. We’ll share use cases for IBM Workload Manager with business rule definition and Read On Standby, with strengths and restrictions, and a walk-through case study of V10 Oracle-Compatible mode with its greater transparency.

How do you keep workloads running to meet the SLA and service your user community, while maintaining a high degree of query performance and parallelism? Bank of America is using InfoSphere Optim Performance Manager to monitor its data warehouse and other related systems. We will share experiences about how it solved major pain points. In this session, we will also highlight the capabilities of Optim Performance Manager to effectively manage, monitor, and troubleshoot mixed workloads.


Conveniently this is one session per day, so I hope you can join these customers to learn how they are using IBM software and working with IBM experts to achieve their business goals.
